I'm done with procrastination! Well for now I mean. As for the past two days of summer, we have not yet received much sunshine...as it should be for most cases. We are still very lonesome in the case of going out since nobody has yet announced a party or hang-out date. I would like to have some events organized but there is always the money issue and as it is well-know I don't have a job or intend to get one until I can drive by myself . Period end of discussion. I am not asking for a car, I am asking to drive there alone. I feel so childish having a parent or anyone else drive me to work...after all jobs are for ADULTS. Responsible adults that take care of business ALONE (or in most cases as it should be). So since I am not yet "qualified" as an adult that can take care of business alone then I refuse to work. I'm not completely broke yet and I do not have the need to make huge spendings.
Then again if I were to commit a crime I would be tried as an "adult". NOT THAT I WILL!!!
As of right now I am enjoying college. It is not at all what my previous teacher told me. (See Face in shock: Priceless). That lady...not only evil and crazy, got the whole college idea distorted in my mind but it turns out that it is not that HORRIBLE or demanding. Yes, there is homework and yes we are expected to get things done alone, but, we can ask for help! We can discuss! And we do have reading check-up quizzes!!!!!!!! Just thought I'd point that out.
Well considering that yesterday I went with my mother shopping, I realized something that I don't think I will ever get used to: people using a bluetooth connection. AKA a headpiece.
These people, no matter how popular these little artifacts have become, still look crazy! I mean no one walks around talking out-loud, making hand and face gestures and ignoring those around them. It shocks me how even in the case in which they are seen a little crazy, they still use these things for the convenience. I'd call it laziness more so because one, you should not drive and use a cell phone and two, holding a phone to your ear does not require much energy. Pretending that we as a society are not too lazy, we would use the speaker but! everyone around us would be informed about our conversations. Now think about these bluetooth users, the call people's attention not matter how discrete people are. In their minds they are laughing as they try to figure out if they are crazy or if they are indeed using the headpiece. The latter is usually the most common case but as for the meanwhile they got a good laugh at them, plus, an inside view to the conversation. It is more discrete if one speaks into a phone than it one speaks to the air.
This kind of invention makes me wonder what will be popular ten years from now if it is possible that we, society, are still alive. I still don't believe that robots will one day be like humans and take over the world. Simply, a non-living object cannot operate without a conscience and a conscience cannot be obtained if it is not educated by moral. A robot cannot have morals. Morals are obtained through experience; they are chosen, selected, adopted, disregarded and forgotten. Without a conscience, technology cannot take over society. We always have the power to shut it down and that is a fact.
I do however, believe that people are starting to run out of creativity and coming up with silly nonsense that add up to the increasing obesity rate.
If society is alive in a good 50 years or so, we will end up looking somewhat like the producers of Wall-e envisioned.
Now I wonder if I should buy a dictionary for class...
